He earned his degree in Dental Surgery from Saint Joseph University in Beirut in 1985. Afterwards, he moved to France to join the Postgraduate Orthodontic Program at Paris VII University, earning his Certificate in Specialized Clinical Studies in Orthodontics (CECSMO) in 1989. He started working in the United Arab Emirates in 1990; and opened his private practice in Beirut in 1991 till present. He joined the Lebanese University, Faculty of Dental Medicine as faculty member since 1991, where he founded the post graduate studies in orthodontics. He became Head of the Department of Orthodontics at the Lebanese University in 1994-1995; and from 2006 till 2010, and is still a Senior Lecturer there. In 1997 he joined the post graduate program at Paris V University and earned his University Diploma in Lingual Orthodontics (DUOL) in 1999. He has published many articles and given several lectures nationally & internationally, and is a member in many dental and orthodontic associations, namely the Lebanese dental association since 1986, the French orthodontic society since 1989, the Lebanese orthodontic society since 1994 (general secretary & vice president till 1999), the Arab Orthodontic Society since 1995, the World Federation of Orthodontics since 1998 and the European orthodontic society since 2005.
